Responsibly Sourced Ingredients
Kérastase prioritizes ingredients that are sustainably sourced, traceable, and ethically produced, ensuring minimal environmental impact.
Waterloop Wonder
Kérastase shampoos are produced using a 100% water recycling system in our innovative "waterloop factory" in Burgos, Spain. This means all water used in the production process, from washing tanks to creating steam, is continuously recycled and reused on-site, minimizing our environmental impact.
Eco-Designed Packaging
The brand continuously strives to reduce its packaging footprint by using recycled and recyclable materials whenever possible and minimizing unnecessary packaging components.

Our 500ml refillable shampoo bottles are made with 100% recycled plastic* and made in a waterloop** factory that has reached 100% renewable energy***. They can be refilled with the associated shampoo pouch, made with -82% plastic packaging****. |
| Our hair oil bottles are made of at least 30% recycled glass*****, while their refill bottles are made of at least 95% recycled plastic******. |

By 2025, we are committed to ensuring that 100% of all of our plastic packaging will be refillable, reusable, or recyclable. By 2030, 100% of the plastics used in all our packaging will be either from recycled or bio-based sources which is renewable.

**Burgos has obtained the “waterloop” status at the end of the year 2017. The Waterloop factory concept involves using municipal water only for human consumption and for producing the high-quality water used as a raw material for product manufacturing. This means that the water required by the utilities (cleaning equipment, steam production etc.) is derived from water that is reused or recycled on the site. .
